London, December 2022: Cosmonauts and the Innovation Village present Future Lawyer Week Africa, taking place at the Innovation Village in Kampala, Uganda between the 21st and 23rd February 2023, bringing the latest in legal innovation to in-house departments, private practice law firms and litigators around the world!

In partnership with The Innovation Village in Kampala, Uganda, Cosmonauts’ flagship conference series, Future Lawyer Week, is heading to Africa to host yet another legendary legal tech conference in 2023! Future Lawyer Week Africa is the fourth branch of the legal technology series with sister events taking place in the UK, USA, and Asia.
Future Lawyer Week Africa will be a three day event focused on innovative advancements in the legal industry whilst uniting all those from the in-house, private practice and litigation sectors and is designed to facilitate stimulating conversations between these different areas of law along with innovation, technology and investment in the sector. FLW Africa is the place to be for all things legal technology on the continent, with three days of networking, workshops, presentations, and an access to justice hackathon.
What to Expect
FLW Africa, a groundbreaking event in the region, will consist of a tour of the Innovation Village complete with a networking dinner, an Access to Legal Justice Hackathon, a full day of industry shaping panels and presentations from the brightest minds in the industry, and exhibiting from the most innovative legal tech providers.
Agenda
On the 23rd February 2023, the conference will be chaired by Hellen Mukasa, Legal Lead for The Innovation Village. Composed of five panel discussions with speakers Dennis Otatiina, Managing Partner at Dentons, Alice Blazevic Namuli, Partner – Head of Tech and Innovations at Katende at Ssempebwa & Co Advocates and Brian Kalule, Partner at Bowmans and many more discussing a wide range of topics such as using technology for collaboration, creating a digital led African legal transformation and technology and the justice system; five roundtable sessions; five stand alone presentations and two product demonstrations from innovation legal tech professionals; and exhibiting from the fantastic tech solution providers, the conference will be jam packed with industry experts!
