Overview
We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join Future Lab Studio on a consultancy basis. The UX/UI Designer will work closely with our product and technical teams to support our Portfolio Startups and Corporates to create intuitive and user-friendly designs for our tech-enabled products. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of successful UX/UI design projects, a deep understanding of user-centered design, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with portfolio Startup and Corporate product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Support portfolio Startups and Corporates to execute various visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Support portfolio Startups and Corporates to conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and the portfolio Startups and Corporates supported, and any other relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Leverage the Digital Rails and Studio’s technology stack, as appropriate in designing solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio.
- Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Canva, InVision, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Experience with the tools mentioned above is highly desirable.
- Applicant must be aged 35 years and below.

Contract Details
This is a consultancy position on an independent contractor basis. The duration of the contract, hours, and compensation will be determined based on the project requirements and the consultant’s expertise. The consultant will be responsible for their own equipment and must have the ability to work remotely.
