Startup Coach

Overview 

Future Lab Studio is actively seeking experienced Startup Mentors/Coaches to join our team as independent consultants. This role is integral to our mission of supporting outstanding Startups building tech-enabled solutions in Digital Inclusion, Automating Trust, and Climate Action that transform the lives and livelihoods of smallholder famers, small business owners, students, teachers, and others in hard-to-reach communities in Uganda and beyond.

Responsibilities

1. Provide guidance, support, and advice to help startups grow and succeed.
2. Serve as a sounding board for ideas, providing constructive feedback and direction.
3. Share knowledge and experiences to help startups navigate the challenges of starting and running a business.
4. Utilize your network to provide startups with valuable connections and opportunities.
5. Assist startups in specific areas based on their needs and your areas of expertise.

Qualifications

1. Outstanding diverse experience as a Founder or Operator.
2. Proven experience as a Startup Mentor, Business Coach, or similar role.
3. Extensive experience in the startup ecosystem and a strong understanding of the challenges that new businesses face.
4. A strong network of contacts in the business and startup world.
5. Understanding of budgets and business-planning.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Strong problem-solving ability.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. A passion for helping others succeed.

Contract Details

This is a consultancy position on an independent contractor basis. The duration of the contract, hours, and compensation will be determined based on the project requirements and the consultant’s expertise. The consultant will be responsible for their own equipment.
