Quality Assurance and DevOps Engineer

Overview 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance and DevOps Engineer to join Future Lab Studio on a consultancy basis. This role will work closely with our portfolio Startups and Corporates’ product and technical teams to ensure the quality and efficiency of software delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, quality assurance, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute test plans to ensure that all objectives are met.
2. Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product.
3. Identify and remedy defects within the production process.
4. Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
5. Compile and analyze statistical data.
6. Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process.
7. Draft quality assurance policies and procedures.
8. Investigate customer complaints and product issues.
9. Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
10. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the applications.
11. Automate deployment, monitoring, management and incident response.
12. Collaborate with the team to improve the Studio’s and our portfolio Startups and Corporates’ engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.
13. Leverage the Digital Rails and Studio’s technology stack to successfully build, deploy, manage and scale solutions.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a Quality Assurance and DevOps Engineer or similar role in software development and quality assurance.
3. Experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies and other.
4. Experience with coding languages and scripting languages.
5. Familiarity with software security principles.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. Experience with the tools mentioned above is highly desirable.
9. Applicant must be aged 35 years and below.

Contract Details

This is a consultancy position on an independent contractor basis. The duration of the contract, hours, and compensation will be determined based on the project requirements and the consultant’s expertise. The consultant will be responsible for their own equipment and must have the ability to work remotely.
