Investor Relations Manager

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Investor Relations Manager to join Future Lab Studio on a Consultancy Basis. The Investor Relations Manager will work closely with our Venture Building teams to onboard and maintain relationships with our panel of Business Angel and Venture Capital investors, prepare and support portfolio Startups throughout the investment readiness journey, introducing them to investors as appropriate, and to facilitate successful closure of investment, among others. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably in venture capital, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the investment landscape.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement an investor relations plan and strategy.
2. Develop, implement and monitor the effectiveness of Investment Readiness Programs designed to equip portfolio startups to successfully raise funding.
3. Support portfolio Startups to communicate their financial performance, strategic direction, and value proposition to investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
4. Organize and manage quarterly investor meetings, and other events aimed at fostering a vibrant community of investors.
5. Respond to investor inquiries and requests for information.
6. Monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes.
7. Prepare and distribute press releases and other announcements of portfolio Startup fundraising milestones.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
2. Proven experience as an Investor Relations Manager or similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, and capital markets.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
5. Ability to build and maintain relationships with investors and analysts.
6. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
7. Experience with the tools mentioned above is highly desirable.

Contract Details

This is a consultancy position on an independent contractor basis. The duration of the contract, hours, and compensation will be determined based on the project requirements and the consultant’s expertise. The consultant will be responsible for their own equipment and must have the ability to work remotely.
